The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions with fiatlux.co.uk.    Placing an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions and we strongly advise that you read them before an order is placed.  To order goods through this website you must be 18 years of age and over.  The goods remain the property of fiat lux.co.uk until payment has been received.

The following terms of use apply to all transactions with fiatlux.co.uk.

Description and price of goods

1. All images, descriptive matter, specification and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods.  All specifications given to the customer are approximate and intended as a guide only.  We endeavour to ensure all product descriptions are correct, but advise that colours and finishes may vary.  Lamps (bulbs) are not supplied with fittings unless specified in the description of goods. The price of goods shown on our website include VAT at 17.5%.
2. Goods are subject to availability.  If goods are out of stock and cannot be delivered to you within 28 days we will inform you within 48 hours and re-credit your account for the sum paid.
3. Delivery charges are in addition to the price of the goods.

Installation

All electrical installations must be fitted by a qualified electrician. All products must be earthed where necessary. The mains supply must always be isolated prior to installation. Incorrect installation can deem warranty void. Accessories, such as screws, are not supplied as standard. Liability will not be accepted for any personal damages, including electrocution, due to improper installation.

Warranty

All goods supplied have a twelve month warranty (unless stated otherwise) from the date of despatch, with the exception of lamps (bulbs).

Liability

We will not be liable for any costs, loss of profits, administrative expenses or inconvenience, disappointments, consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem relating to the goods or the performance of this contract. Liability in any event is limited to the cost of the goods.

Payment Methods

You confirm that the debit/credit card that is being used is yours. Payment for the goods, including delivery charges, can be made by any method shown on the shopping cart at the time you place your order and will be processed at the time you place your order. If the issuer of your debit/credit card refuses or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for delay or non-delivery.

Credit Card Security

Once you have placed your order you will be passed on to a Secure Payment Processing page. We operate anti-fraud precautions and make every effort to find and prosecute fraudsters who abuse our online shopping system.

Postage Packing & Delivery

Deliveries can be made to England and Scotland (excluding Highlands and Islands) and Wales only. Carriage is £6.00 for orders of £200 or under. The goods you order will be delivered to the address of the cardholder only. Goods will be delivered within 28 days from the date of your order.
PLEASE NOTE – A signature will be required to confirm receipt of deliveries. If for any reason goods cannot be delivered within 28 days we will advise you and issue a refund.

Cancellations

Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of the goods.  To exercise your right of cancellation you must give written notice by letter, fax or e-mail within seven days of the date of delivery. We will refund your money within 30 days of cancellation.

Returns Policy

We request that cancelled goods are returned to us (fiatlux.co.uk) within seven days after notice of cancellation is acknowledged by us.  We will advise your returns authorisation number when cancellation is acknowledged by us. The goods must be unused and with their original packaging and you must take reasonable care to ensure that the goods reach us in good condition and are not damaged in transit. We recommend that you obtain proof of posting and retain this in case of a dispute.
Postage will only be refunded if the goods supplied are not as ordered, have been damaged in transit or are faulty, you will be responsible for the cost of returning goods to us in all other circumstances.

Privacy & Data Protection

The information you provide on this website may be held and used by us for any of the following purposes:-  administration of  your order, dealing with enquiries relating to your order or complaints about your order, product recalls, crime and fraud prevention. We will not disclose your information to any other companies, other than Secure Trading whom we use for payment processing, and enforcement agencies where they have a legal right to the data we hold.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.  Disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
